RE-TranscriPro is an association that offers transcription services of printed books or of manuscripts from patrimonial collections. It works from digitized images and manages the transfer from image files to text files. Its services are primarily used for the creation of digital libraries.
Excerpt from the association’s Statutes Article 1: Denomination It is formed between the members of the present statutes, a non-profit association, conforming to the law of July 1st, 1901, and to the decree of August 16, 1901, having as a name: Rencontre d’Espaces - TranscriPro which may also be written: RE - TranscriPro 1 – Aware of the fact that all human beings are born alike and share the same rights of education, the association has as an aim to provide education to every person who does not otherwise have access to it for financial reasons, by providing scholarships, financial aid or advances during the period of study concerned. 3 – Finally, to promote its desire to meet the offers and demands between the North and the South, the West and the East, RE-TranscriPro will pursue the development of the website www.rencontredespaces.org
